The S610 is the most advanced of the Polar range of Equine monitors. One of it's main advantages over the a1 and a3 is that it has the ability of provide an infra-red link to a reader allowing training files to be downloaded to a computer providing accurate records of training sessions and fitness progress. The S610 monitor comprises of Equine electrode set with transmitter, watch receiver and software. The advanced functions accessible from the watch receiver include - Actual real time heart rate - High and Low and low Heart rate limits with selectable audible alarm. - The ability to display heart rate as a percentage of peak. - Maximum heart rate during monitoring - HR max predicted maximum heart rate - Coded data transmission from transmitter to watch to eliminate cross noise - Interval training function - Information downloadable via IR interface. In addition the S610 watch receiver also features - Water resistant to 50Mtrs - Back light display - Stopwatch function once the monitor is connected - Time of day - Independent alarm - Calandar. For connection to a computer the Polar IR (infra-red) interface is required. Additional Sulky cable kit available for use with driving/carriage horses. To ensure a good contact to the horses' skin and correct heart rate reading, the use of an e.c.g. gel is recommended on the electrodes.
