The Equine Easy (formally known as the a1 monitor) is the entry level monitor in the Polar range of "ride on" horse heart rate monitors. Designed to be used either during training or competition, the monitor set comprises of a watch style Receiver, worn by the rider/driver, and an electrode set with integral transmitter that is mounted on the horse. The simple, single button operation of the watch receiver allows the user to access :- Actual real time heart rate Average heart rate over the monitoring period Total time of the exercise period The watch Receiver itself is water resistant to 30Mtrs and has a large clear digital display. By fitting a Sulky extension cable to the transmitter, carriage drivers can also monitor the performance of their horse(s) from the driving position. To ensure a good contact to the horses skin, and correct heart rate reading, the use of an e.c.g gel is recommended on the electrodes.
