Equi-N-Ice bandages are a cold compression treatment for horses and are effective against swelling and bruising. They can be used on muscles, tendons and ligaments, and work by drawing heat out as opposed to other products that work on driving cold in. No refrigeration, no mess no mixing required, no unpleasant smell. Equi-N-iCE is specially designed to conform to all the competition rules set by the FEI and the Jockey Club. Cold and compression is well documented as one of the most effective way of treating inflammation, swelling and bruising of muscles, tendons and ligaments.  The bandage is 10cm wide and 2m long, and is made from a special cotton that it is impregnated with a cooling fluid which cools by rapid evaporation once applied. Remove the Ice bandage from its re-sealable packet and wrap around the leg or area to be treated. The treated area will drop 15°c and stay that way for up to 3 hours . Once used the Ice bandage can be washed and reused by adding enough ready mixed coolant to make the Ice bandage damp and replace in the re-sealable pouch provided until needed again.
